Dessert doesn't HAVE to involve chocolate per se, but why wouldn't it?!
Although an overindulgence in anything can be bad for your health, your blood sugar, and your baby, there should definitely be a balance between eating healthy and enjoying a sweet treat every now and then - especially during your pregnancy and as a new mommy!
Luckily for you, we've rounded up 10 of our favorite chocolate desserts that over deliver on taste while staying under 200 calories per serving. So mama gets her chocolate, and everybody else is safe from the hangry pregnant woman. ;) (Hypothetically speaking, right?)
If these don't look inviting, we probably can't help you find a dessert. This is everything we could've dreamed up in a chocolate dessert. Healthy, gluten-free, 100 calories, and made with ooey-gooey melted chocolate chips. Oh my!
Chocolate-covered and now scrumptiously clean - it's everyone's favorite girl scout cookie, except now you can have it all year long! Tell those girl scouts to step aside next year, there's a new thin mint in town.
Skip the added sugar Walmart bran fudgsicles, please! Why have those, when you could make this super healthy but just as delicious version? Just in time for summer!
First of all, double the chocolate = double the fun, amiright? Second, you'd never be able to tell by looking (or tasting!) that these moist-looking double chocolate donuts are made with zucchini and other healthy ingredients! This is an easy way to sneak in some green veggies if you've been having trouble.
This is essentially frozen chocolate whipped cream that, once thawed a little, turns out to be a fluffy, creamy, decadent low calorie ice cream-esque treat. With way less sugar. The perfect treat for your summer pregnancy. Or any time! ;)
5 ingredients, 100 calories (2 of them being chocolate and PEANUT BUTER)...you're talking our language. They're also packed with 5 grams of protein per truffle! So it's kind of healthy right?
Straight from the baker's mouth, these cookies taste "rich and fudge - like EDGE OF A BROWNIE." Yes, yes, one million times yes. This is everything a 70 calorie cookie should be.
Who doesn't love mocha? It's like specialty adult chocolate. And combined with coconut into a delicious little macaroon that clocks in at 49 calories/cookie? We're in heaven!
So many emotions when looking at these...they look so moist, decadent, chocolatey, and they're only 50 calories a truffle?! Maybe dreams really do come true. Making these ASAP.
These bad boys are only 94 calories a piece, made with four superfoods, and are guaranteed to fix your afternoon sweet tooth. Yum!
